Summer Solstice

It’s also International Yoga Day so strike a pose and set your intentions.

Summer of Self-Love

What is the Summer Solstice and why do we celebrate it?

Well, number of one, it is the official start of summer, and what is there not to love about that? Long, sundrenched days spent at the beach and steamy barbecues at night, no classes for students, vacations, and a generally relaxed vibe.

This particular June brings a greater opportunity for release and personal growth, as the full moon just occurred and the eclipse on July 2nd is quickly approaching.

So on the solstice go to a beach or a park or your backyard and do some yoga and meditation to open your heart and mind to receive the transforming energies that are available.

If you want to make a ritual of it, you could do 108 Sun Salutations to usher in
Summer.

Maybe try a simple meditation, as I inhale, I breathe in all the potential for growth the summer season
has to offer me. As I exhale, I release and let go of any limiting beliefs which are holding me back from creating the amazing life I am meant to have.

I release anything that is blocking my path forward and accept the help and support of the universe to advance my path.

Start to consciously remove anything that doesn’t support this vision. You may not be able to get rid of everything all at once, but start releasing what isn’t supporting your journey.
